Marakusi
Ward's ability to prosper and advance as a 21st century community
depends on how much the community invests in the development of the
productive potential of the community's young men and women. Annually,
young people join a life of unemployment and despondence, this has
lead
to insecurity
not
only
in Marakusi
Ward
but
Kenya
as a
Nation.
Something
needs
to be
done
in our
local
areas
to give
insecurity
a new
direction.
We
have
witnessed
in Marakusi
Ward,
the
very
young
people
that
join
the
boda
boda
business
being
used
by some
politicians
to harass
the
residents
during
election
years
forgeting
that
the
very
persons
they
assault
are
the
same
customers
they
ferry
on their
cycle
business
outside
the
election
season.
Something
needs
to be
done.
This
characters
have
to be
pinpointed
to the
police
not
only
during
the
election
year
but
throughout
so as
to root
out
individuals
who
destroy
the
descence
of the
very
boda
boda
business.
The
very
persons
have
formed
cartels
that
control
the
cycle
business
forcing
those
involved
to split
into
different
factions.
This
causes
lack
of accountability
for
the
evil
characters
who
have
infiltrated
the
activity.
Erick
I. Matsanza
will
try
and
initiate
programs
that
will
involve
all
stakeholders
in fighting
insecurity
in our
community.
Young men and women
are
to be
positively
engaged
if we
are
to realize
a sense
of security
in our
nation.
Community
Policing
is also
to be
championed
if we
are
to help
curb
insecurity
among
communities
in our
nation
but
it has
to begin
in our
local
areas
first.
If we
make
our
neighbourhood
safe
then
we will
definitely
see
a safer
nation.
Keep Peace for a Stable community.
Keep
Peace
for
a Stable
community.

Fighting
Poverty There are so
many poor persons
in the rural areas
in Kenya. Most poor dwellers
of Marakusi are
peasant farmers, yet still cannot afford to make ends meet.
Erick Matsanza would
like to work with
the dwellers of
Marakusi Ward to
initiate activities
that would change
their lives starting
with the youths
and women who are
unemployed or not angaged in income generating activities and establish programs
which will engage school leavers so as to reduce the number of persons who join
the "boda boda" business
in Lugari but first
in Marakusi Ward.
